  • Commonly Added highlights procedures that many shops frequently add to Repair Plans for a specific vehicle (year, make, model). It is a popularity signal based on real industry usage — not a recommendation that the procedure is required for your specific repair.

RepairLogic determines this using a carefully designed algorithm that:

    • Balances how often a procedure is added by individuals and across different organizations.
    • Prevents a single shop or heavy user from skewing results by applying fairness controls.
    • Prioritizes procedures added often by many, not just frequently by a few.

In short, a procedure marked Commonly Added shows a strong, consistent pattern of use across shops working on similar vehicles.

Use it as a discover and awareness aid, not a rule.

    Best Practice:

    1. Review commonly added procedures for awareness.
    2. Evaluate against the specific damage.
    3. Apply your professional judgment.
  • Position statements tend to appear more often because:

    • They apply broadly across many vehicles and apply to almost any type of damage.
    • Many shops add them to most Repair Plans.

Because of this wide usage, they naturally accumulate higher popularity.

  • This usually happens when there is limited usage data for that specific vehicle or procedure. We require a minimum amount of usage to consider a procedure as commonly added to ensure we are surfacing more relevant procedures.

    Common reasons include:

    • Newer vehicle models
    • Less frequently repaired vehicles
    • Recently added or updated procedures

The system requires sufficient usage across multiple organizations before marking something as commonly added.
